Taupo Medical is working under Level One Covid related restrictions. It is vital that patients phone first (we understand demand is high and phone wait times can be long, unfortunately it's a bit like the supermarket lines presently). If nonurgent you can leave a message on the voice mail service. Please don't simply walk up to the clinic unless urgent.
Our patients are from the local Taupō, Turangi and Mangakino areas and a mix of all ages from children to retirees. The majority are financially independent but we do encourage those who are eligible to have a Community Services card to register this with the practice to enable discounted fees when applicable. The practice sees many visitors from around New Zealand as well as overseas.
The Taupō Medical Centre team believe in supporting the community we live and work in. We do this in many ways, professionally and in our personal lives. Our staff are actively involved in the Taupō community and volunteer at many of the weekly events that happen in the region - sometimes in a medical capacity and at other times because we like helping out.
We get sweaty too and participate in multi-sport activities like Ironman and get involved as a team in events such as the Great Lake Relay and Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge.
